About Me

XIOMARA MEDINA Xiomara (Zee-o-mara) Medina brings to you, her new release “Temperatures of my Life”. An invigorating English and Spanish production with lyrics that stemmed from her real life experiences. The project was developed with producers Will Taylor (SubFunk Prods), Sabor and Scott Marz. This enhanced CD includes a video "Criminal" Directed by Casper Martinez. The album features Def Jam Poet/Singer La Bruja (The Truth), rapper Zalomon (Number 1 and String of Life) and Amy Douglas on back ground vocals. This assemble of fresh new sounds can be classified under Pop-Funk-Rock. It displays a very New York urban sound, the home in which this production took place. Xiomara Medina while in the promotional stages of her album, has had the opportunity to dab into her acting. You will see her in the upcoming independent film "Wonderwall" Directed by Agustin Fernandez and as one of the leading roles for "Finding Home" directed by Chris Seerveld from the NYFA. As future plans for her acting career, Xiomara Medina co- wrote "Temperatures of my Life" a short film that will feature the music from the album and ultimately be included with the CD. This is just one of many collaborations with actor/producer Casper Martinez and famous actor Luis Guzman. Some of Xiomara's past experience include MTV's programs “Global Grooves” and “Jams” (dancer), PDA Tournaments Series for ESPN Deportes (show host), comedy sketches for Telemundo’s late night comedy show “No te duermas” in P.R. and local theater plays for "Arriba el Telon"(actress). She also worked as a disc jockey for local radio station Fidelity 95.7 FM. As a songwriter, Xiomara was reached out to penned material for Aphrodite and all female group. She wrote their first single, “Sex in New York City,” which was licensed and used in the smash-hit TV show “Sex and the City” during its run on TBS. Xiomara Medina graduated with an A.A.S. in Media Arts and Communication making the Dean's List at Westchester Community College. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Xiomara was already showing a surprisingly deep love for music and performing arts by the age of six. She participated in all her school shows and started writing poems, short stories and songs by the age of 14. Xiomara enrolled at Adiz TV academy for performing arts and TV production by the age of 16. In 1995, Xiomara decided to move to New York to begin production on her first debut CD "I Can Feel It". Soon thereafter, she was opening for artists such as George Lamond, TKA, Cynthia and others artist at festivals and local events. She then wrote and produced her single "Borinquen" along with a youtube.com sensational video dedicated to her birthplace. Her success with "Borinquen" got her opening for puertorrican legend Jose Feliciano and ex-Yankee well known player Bernie Williams "Temperatures of my Life" topping the Garageband.com charts is available on her website xiomaramedina.com , CDbaby, Snowcap and itunes.
