About Me

Born and raised in Queens, New York, DJ VENOM is proving his bite on the music industry is a welcomed poison for his talents. At 14, VENOM was hitting teen nights at a Woodside nightclub, Casablanca. This was the hot spot for Queens’ teens to hear New York City’s popular DJs spin hit records. Attending Casablanca every week to watch DJs like DJ Camilo showcase their skills on the turntables, made VENOM want to chase the dream of being a New York City club DJ. VENOM used his hunger and perseverance to learn the skill of mixing records and got his first gig with Memorable Music DJ Company in 1997 while attending St Francis Prep High School in Queens, New York. He worked at the company throughout high school and made his move to college in search of perfecting his skills. VENOM attended St. Johns University and began organizing parties as a sophomore at all the local venues. While managing the promotions team for CIN Productions, a New York City/New Jersey based promotions company, in 2004 VENOM got the opportunity to open up for La Kalle 105.9s Heavy Hitter, Da Original DJ Precise. He made his club debut at the Copacabana for the HOT 97 Puerto Rican Day Parade After-Party in 2004. VENOM has opened up and closed sets for such DJs as Enuff (Hot 97), Camilo (Hot 97), Precise (La Kalle), Kast One (Hot 97), Kazzanova (Hot 97), Cipha Sounds (Hot 97), DJ AM and DJ Surge of the Terror Squad. He’ spun at countless New York City nightclubs such as Deep, Spirit, Hammerstein Ballroom, Exit, Ikon, Avalon and many more. Numerous clubs in Puerto Rico have welcomed the turntable skills of DJ VENOM, such as FLOW, owned by reggaeton mogul DJ NELSON. In the summer of 2005, VENOM independently released a 5 CD Reggaeton mixtape series called Guallando. This mixtape series was distributed by VENOM from the West coast to the East coast of the U.S. and all over Puerto Rico. This instantly gave VENOM a name in the Reggaeton mixtape circuit. Shortly after completing the Guallando mixtape series, VENOM completed a mixtape for The Connection magazine and is now creating a Reggaeton mixtape series for his newest project, The Reggaeton Rush Hour, a nationwide Reggaeton music video show on BET Networks. A meeting with the globally recognized father of reggaeton DJ Nelson in March 2005, inspired DJ VENOM to hone his talents as a producer. VENOM recently produced music for La Kalle 105.9's 2006 television commercial campaign. But music is not VENOM's only talent. TV and Film are just a few of the many passions of this eclectic entrepreneur. VENOM has produced and casted for music videos in the Latin music industry. VENOM created the first Latin/Reggaeton show ever on BET Networks, Reggaeton Rush Hour, which made its premiere on the BET J Network on June 10, 2006. VENOM is currently an associate producer and camera operator for MTV2's Monday Night Fight Klub. Recently he completed a project for Omarion & Bow Wow's behind the scenes DVD which accompanied their album "Face Off".
