What you need to know about me:
Cultural worker. Writer, producer, documentary filmmaker. Sometimes poet. I dream freedom and justice, and in my world, there are both. South Bronx-born, citizen of the world via Boriken (Puerto Rico) and Panama. Proud resident of the Boricua satellite village of El Barrio (East Harlem, NY), known to the invading army as "Upper Yorkville" (you believe that? you gentrify the hood and then call it "Upper Yorkville" as if York Ave didn't end on 93rd Street!). I take lessons from every shadow. I don't hate because hate is a poisonous seed, but I definitely detest haters. (Envy and malice can only poison your peace, so let it go!) My favorite people are sincere, artistic, lovers of life, and of course, a little crazy (like all of us). I believe in revolutionary reflection. Love your people (and yourself), celebrate them (and yourself), and don't be afraid to check them (and yourself). Reflect, release, resolve, and revolutionize yourself each day.
