About Me

Programmer Alejandro Rosso and vocalist/guitarist Jonaz, debuted to the American public as Plastilina Mosh at SXSW in Austin, TX, and caught the eye of Beck, who financed a session through his Bong Load label with producer Tom Rothrock (who had previously recorded "Loser" with Beck). Signed to Capitol, Plastilina Mosh began recording their debut full-length with the additional help of Angeleno hip-hop collective Sukia. Aquamosh was released in June 1998 and Juan Manuel followed two years later on Astralwerks. Next jumping to EMI, the duo issued Hola Chicuelos in July 2003. Tasty + B Sides appeared in April 2006, complete with an accompanying DVD of the group's music videos and other bonus features. In the past year, Plastilina Mosh not only took the stage in front of thousands of Mexican fans at Mexicos’ Vive Latino Festival (the Latin American answer to Coachella), but also played to the Chilean masses at the inaugural Vive Latino Chile as well as touring all of South America and Mexico. The band opened for Manu Chao on several recent U.S. tour dates. Plastilina Mosh is currently in the studio working on new material for an upcoming studio album.
