What you need to know about me:
Welcome to the ROOM 28 profile!! My name is Jaime Fernandez aka J-FERNZ. I am a writer/performer/kung-fu choreographer in the comedy sketch group ROOM 28. I started my comedy career performing stand-up in some of the most popular comedy clubs, restaurants, and crack houses in New York City. My main focus on this site is to be an integral part of making ROOM 28 a household name. I want people waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat screaming "ROOM 28! STOP HAUNTING MY DREAMS!" I want parents to name their babies "ROOM 28 [insert last name here]". Then eventually I want ROOM 28 to end world hunger....but in a funny way. We have a great cast of performers and writers who assemble together like a comedy Voltron to make you laugh till it hurts. And believe me it will hurt. And as much as I want it to be, that's not a threat. So you [meaning you the reader] will be coming here for updates on Room 28 sketch premieres, hilarious blogs from me and other cast members, news about the group, and maybe some exercise tips. So welcome to ROOM 28. Music that’s in my head (and playlists):
We all love a wide range of music. When I was younger I grew up listening to mostly hip hop [Slick Rick made me want to get an eye patch and a prison record], R&B [I was singing Jodeci before puberty] and the ultimate Latino pop music: Freestyle [I have the Scars of Love to prove it]. Also we all like different types of rock, electronica, salsa, merengue, and commercial jingles.

The stuff I’m obsessed with:
The people in Room 28 are obsessed with pop culture. I am a walking encyclopedia of random pop culture information. I'm a walking I LOVE THE 80's and 90's marathon. I also find myself obsessed with people who wear sunglasses in dark places. I obsessively hate them.

What I can’t live without:
My sense of humor. Because life's too short to be serious all the time. And even though that last sentence sounds like something you'd read on a bumper sticker, I wholeheartedly believe it and would gladly get it tattooed in Chinese letters on my left butt cheek any day. A close second would be my Girls Gone Wild DVD's, But only the Spring Break ones. I don't want you to think I'm a pervert.
