Whether taking over buildings or advocating for the Great Apes, performing Poetry, or setting the new fashion trends for the urban world, today's Dominican renaissance Harlemite Suero refuses to step out of the Matrix. His passion for Great Ape survival and artistic talent has taken him from working with zoo's, appearing on various college campuses, to running minority programs for inner-city youth's on their way to college. He has even successfully increased the minority student population at some colleges, with an increase in numbers ranging up to 3%, of todays minority population @ most colleges in the U.S. He has even modeled for Urban Couture Inc, Tiguerachi, as well as has created his own clothing line "Gorillapimp nyc" In order to help with initiatives for improving the lives of Great Apes in captivity within the US. Now, this dynamic, futuristic, Renaissance man, infuses his Dominican Roots with today's hip-hop culture as he voices out a key thought on the importance of environmental awareness and how urgent the need to save the great apes is. Suero has long been regarded as the first Caribeno to custom make Timberlands, and the first Dominican to follow Jane Goodall's footsteps in the love for the Great Apes. With the release of "Gorillapimp nyc" he joins the ranks of artists such as BathnApes, CooGi, Monkey Money and Soul Junkie just to name a few. Poet since he was 13, Carlos "Suero" Pena, has performed internationally at dozens of respected venues, including the historic Langston Hughes House in Harlem, Nuyorican Poets Café, The University Of Massachusetts,and the home of the maker of the famous Hershey's Chocolate; Milton S. Hershey School . WRITER? Suero is the author of the highly successful Poetry book "Gorillapimp Lines", which include his renowned Poetic hood peace "Hip-Hop Spawn" which explains his love/hate relationship with the Hip-Hop culture in the early nineties. He has also been a great writer for the Great Apes. He has written primate management plans for zoos in the Caribbean, and has been successful in writing proposals to creating blueprints for Sanctuary's and educational programs for Great Ape survival. Aside from the animal world, Suero has written pieces that move inner city kids to either help in the struggle of urban culture or help the Great Apes escape extinction, either way he moves youths to improve their lives with his dedication, love for life and many talents. Make sure you keep your ears open and not just to the streets, because this Urban Caribeno is bound to make Universal moves, in the near future his signing deal will have Astronauts in mind. Suero listens to all types of music everything from Reggaeton, Disco, Hip-Hop, Bachata, merenge, Jazz and even Heavy Metal. His favorites are the people he considers family such as La Bruja, Black Instruments, Chance Miller, P-Sun of Wu-tang, J.Tarrell, Lucky Dice out of Boston, Mac Means /VP Camp out of Harlem, Black Jesus from Wu-tang, Carlos Best, and he also has his own team V/C which stands for Vida Callejera, claimed to be the next level in this Spanish speaking movement.
